Problem reveal genius

We have seen with our own eyes the ordeal / problems the police personnel, commodes, NSG, military forces, army wherein to combat the militant forces at Mumbai. That is the perfect example of people from forces facing Herculean problems, facing them squarely, bring about possibilities and results. Problems bring about possibilities. They help you grow and lead to better things. Inside every problem lies a precious opportunity to improve things. Every challenge is nothing more than a chance to make things better. To avoid them is to hamper growth and progress. To resist them is to decline greatness. Embrace and get the best from the challengers in front of you. And understand that the only people with no problems are dead.

An unhappy customer yelling at you might seem like a problem. But a person thinking like a leader, that scenario is a giant opportunity to improve the organization’s processes to ensure that doesn’t happen again and to get some feedback that may be used to enhance products and services. So the problem has actually helped to improve the organization. FREE MARKET RESEARCH.

An interpersonal conflict at work can seem like a problem. But if you think like a leader and use the circumstance to build understanding, promote communication and enrich the relationship, the problem has actually made you better. It has been fodder for your growth and served you nicely. Bless it.

Any person can work or discharge his functions when the organization is doing well. Every employee does a bit in his work place as per the role assigned to him on a regular basis and that is what he considers special. But the moment an employee is faced with a problem at work, he does not consider it as a possibility but as a burden. He has a great mind in the form of a Mercedes vehicle. Instead of putting his mind in to the top gear, he drives it in the 1st or the 2nd gear and in the process he does not know that he has the capacity and capability of driving his mind into the 4th or the 5th gear at ease to resolve problems or come out of problematic situations. Thus, he settles to mediocrity.

With a mind set like this, he is not valued in the organization. He does or carries out routine jobs which every one of us undertakes in our place of work. What makes one special  is to face and understand problems squarely and come out as a winner by resolving it through your skills, knowledge, attributes, characteristics which you have gained / gathered through your education, experience and expertise. By constantly putting it to use, you gain confidence, status, prestige, power and courage. In the process you become extremely valuable to the organization. In other words, you have put a price tag and the management will honor the tag by elevating you to a higher position with benefits. This is what precisely what the problems does to an individual.

Problems reveal genius. World-class organizations have a culture that sees problems as opportunities for improvement. Don’t condemn them, don’t run away from them – learn from them and embrace them quite often. World-class human beings turn their wounds into wisdom. They leverage their failures to bring them close to success. They do not see problems. They see possibilities. And that’s what makes them great.
